HUNGARY OFFERS EU VISA-FREE STATUS

As of the 28th of December 2012, Hungary has implemented a new investment program for obtaining permanent residence permit, which may serve as an exquisite entry for non-European investors to the European Union.

What are the advantages? The investor may live, work and do business in Hungary, and have visa-free status in the European Union and the Schengen Zone.
What are the requirements? The investor or its company shall invest more than EUR 250,000 in so called Hungarian Residency Bonds, which are Hungarian Government Bonds designed and issued for this special purpose. The investor shall keep the Hungarian Residency Bonds for a minimum period of 5 years. In addition the investor is required to maintain a resident address in Hungary.
When these requirements are fulfilled, the investor is entitled to apply for a permanent residence permit, and the application will be examined and granted in the framework of a simplified administration procedure.
